Disney Channel aired these licensed-from-Canada shows in the 2000s and 2010s.

  • Life With Derek, Naturally Sadie, and My Babysitter’s a Vampire.
  • Oddly, the series finale TV-movie is available. Given the 80s “DuckTales” never had a final DVD box set release to complete its run, at least it’s finally all available on home video. However, the original 80s series and its theatrical film are present. The direct-to-video sequels are on Disney+, however. The original 1987 movie isn’t present oddly, its two sequels are on Disney+. Also not on Disney+ are the “Mickey’s Magical Christmas” and “House of Villains” specials. Given this is based on a licensed property (and wasn’t as popular as fellow 80s licensed property show “Gummi Bears”), maybe that’s an issue?

Broadly, most of the classic Disney, Pixar, and Marvel material is available, as well as the classic “Disney Afternoon” lineup of shows. There’s also a large pile of TV shows coming to Disney+, ranging from “The Simpsons” to “Kim Possible.” The Marvel shows are also largely present they include the early 80s “Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends,” the “Friends”-less early 80s “Spider-Man” series, and the classic 90s “X-Men” cartoon.Ī full list of the material debuting on Disney+ is available here. We’re also getting various items from the Fox library (thanks to Disney’s buyout), such as “The Sound of Music” and “Miracle on 34th Street.” As others observed, Disney’s slapped their logo on the latter.įinally, there’s the minor or obscure material, such as “The Absent-Minded Professor,” various Disney Channel movies (“Halloweentown,” “The Luck of the Irish”), and a childhood favorite of mine, 1978’s “The Cat From Outer Space.”
